About the event

What to expect from a LQCO weekend:

Our weekends are a mix of adventure, socializing and calm downtime at the campsite. All activities are optional. The itinerary is still being finalised but an example of how our weekends usually run:

Day 1:

- Arrival from late afternoon 4pm, pitch up in your own time

- Early evening ice breakers & intros, some games

- Free vegan family dinner cooked by our lovely team, chats & chilling around the campfire

Day 2:

- DIY food

- Main activity will be a guided hike setting off late morning

- For those wanting to stay at the campsite you can have your own time, explore the local area/pubs & cafes

- Post hike regroup & pub visit

- Early evening yoga & lake dip

Day 3:

- DIY food

- *Ticketed* - Gorge scrambling

- Check-out from the campsite is 12pm

No matter your previous outdoor experience, there's something for everyone and you don't need a high fitness level to attend the weekend. We find some of the best times are just simply sat around the fire, relaxing and chatting with new people.

The Campsite:

We will be staying at Coniston Camping Hoathwaite which is sat on Coniston Lake. We have exclusive use of the bottom field and through a gate just a few steps from your tent we'll have direct access to the lake.

The lake shore is a communal area and other campers from the main part of the campsite will be using it alongside us. There will be a butty van by the lake providing hot drinks and some food. Please feel free to bring any equipment you'd like - paddleboard/kayak.

The campsite welcomes well behaved dogs and asks that they're kept on a lead.

Tents and campervans are welcome. There is no electricity in the bottom field, please bring your own battery packs.

The field has a fresh running water tap and there will be a gender-neutral toilet trailer which we will have exclusive use of. Hot showers & additional gendered toilets can be found at the top of the campsite - roughly a 6-8 minute walk from our field along the path.

We will have a communal shelter/gazebo to provide shelter in the case of rain.

We will have two firepits and a limited supply of wood - if you have a firepit please bring it along to add to the circle so we can keep everyone nice and warm :)

Upon arrival a member of our team will welcome you to check-in and direct you to where you can pitch up.

Sliding-scale ticketing:

We have structured our ticketing based on how the campsite charge. This is split up in to the following ticket types:

Adult / Tent / Campervan / Gazebo. For example, if you are purchasing for two people and you will have one tent you will buy 2 x Adult tickets + 1 x Tent ticket.

We believe in reducing barriers and will have a number of subsided tickets available for low income attendees. If you require a carer to attend with you please let us know and we can provide a free ticket.

We will operate a pay it forward policy - if you cannot afford the low income ticket or you are a refugee or seeking asylum we don't believe you should miss out. Please contact us and budget dependant we will see if we can cover this cost for a solidarity ticket.

Ticket prices will roughly range from £30-£50 for the weekend.

Add-on paid activity:

This year we are thrilled to be partnering with mobileadventures who host Gorge Scrambling activities in Church Beck Ghyll. Tickets will be priced at £30 and will be released at a later date ahead of the event. We will be registering interest during your checkout process for your weekend tickets to understand numbers. There will be a limited amount of tickets available first come first serve.

More information on what to expect  can be found here

  • Pay it forward

    Sale ends: 10 Jun, 19:00

We don't believe people should miss out due to financial barriers. If you are able to pay it forward to help cover the cost of a free solidarity ticket for those who would otherwise not be able to come to an event like this we'd really appreciate it.
